Founder Genzo Kumahira established Kumahira Shoten (Tenjin-cho, Hiroshima City) for the purpose of selling and repairing safes.

1943

Started full-scale operations as a safe manufacturer.

Spun off the Hiroshima factory and established Kumahira Co., Ltd.
